OUR FUTURE TALENT PROGRAMMES HELP YOUNG PEOPLE BUILD SKILLS, GAIN EXPERIENCE AND TAKE THEIR NEXT STEPS WITH CONFIDENCE

Practical opportunities for young people to discover their strengths, develop professionally and build positive pathways into employment, education and the creative industries.

We believe talent and potential exist everywhere but access to opportunities does not. Through paid work experience, mentoring, coaching and professional development, our Future Talent programmes help young people build confidence, develop transferable skills and gain the experience and connections they need to move towards meaningful and sustainable futures.

Building skills and opening doors

Young people can face significant barriers to accessing employment and creative careers, from limited professional networks and industry knowledge to a lack of representation and opportunities to gain meaningful experience.

Our programmes combine practical experience with personalised support. Young people have opportunities to learn from professionals, develop their skills, explore their strengths and build the confidence to take their next steps. Where possible, we also create pathways into paid work, leadership, further training and continued professional development.

Our impact

Our programmes demonstrate strong demand, with Total Insight Academy cohorts receiving more than twice as many applications as available places. At least 85% of participants report feeling more confident about the next steps in their creative career, more aware of available opportunities, more skilled in their creative practice and more positive about their future.

Total Insight Academy

Total Insight Academy is our flagship CPD-accredited creative development programme for underrepresented young creatives aged 18–30. Through mentoring, coaching, industry exposure, bursaries and peer learning, participants are supported to strengthen their creative practice, grow their professional networks and explore sustainable futures within the arts and creative industries.

Future Talent Programme

Our Future Talent Programme provides young people with meaningful paid work experience alongside mentoring and professional development. Over a fixed placement period, participants become part of the Total Insight Theatre team, contributing to real projects while developing transferable workplace skills, confidence and professional experience to support their next steps.
