Our staff
Our work wouldn’t be possible without the united efforts
of our team behind the scenes
Together with our network of specialist teachers, performers, therapists, practitioners and volunteers who lead workshops, events and activities, our staff ensure the charity continues to evolve to meet the changing needs of children and young people. Many members of our team also bring lived experience of the challenges faced by the communities we support. Combined with extensive professional expertise, this helps us create creative, culturally responsive and compassionate spaces where children and young people feel understood, valued and able to thrive.
adam tulloch — ceo
Adam founded Total Insight Theatre in 2014 at the age of 23, inspired by his own lived experience and a belief that every child and young person should have access to the opportunities and transformative power of the arts. Since then, he has grown the charity from delivering sessions in a single classroom to supporting more than 24,000 children and young people across England through creative, community and specialist mental health programmes.
Adam was named Charity Chief Executive of the Year (organisations with an annual income under £5 million) at the 2021 Third Sector Awards. He sits on the Cultural Learning Alliance Advisory Panel and was recognised in The Big Issue’s Top 100 Changemakers in 2020.
ella schwarz — Senior project manager
Ella has been part of Total Insight Theatre since 2016 and plays a key role in leading programmes, developing partnerships and ensuring the charity’s work reaches the children, young people and communities who will benefit most. She oversees the design, delivery and evaluation of projects across education, health and the voluntary sector, with a particular focus on widening participation, early intervention and creative wellbeing.
Alongside her work at Total Insight Theatre, Ella has supported charities, public sector organisations and educational institutions across communications, mentoring, coaching and programme development. She is also an accredited transformational coach and has been instrumental in the strategic development of Total Insight Academy (TIA), the charity’s CPD-accredited programme supporting underrepresented creatives to build confidence, develop their practice and progress into sustainable creative careers.
Future Talent Programme
The Future Talent Programme supports young people to build the confidence, skills and experience needed to take their next steps into meaningful employment, education or training.
Over a fixed placement period, participants become valued members of the Total Insight Theatre team, contributing to real projects while gaining hands-on experience across programme delivery, fundraising, marketing, operations and community engagement. Alongside practical workplace experience, they receive mentoring, coaching and tailored professional development to help them grow in confidence and realise their potential.
Rooted in the belief that talent is everywhere but opportunity is not, the programme provides a supportive environment where young people can develop transferable skills, explore their strengths and take positive steps towards sustainable and fulfilling careers.
